NeebSoundBalanced Acoustic Pickups
Balanced, high-quality, shielded transducers
These handmade acoustic pickups are ultra-low noise, and work with both balanced and unbalanced preamplifiers (the preamp will need to be able to handle a high input impedance). They are encased with a wooden shell, and can be mounted either temporarily to the top of your instrument, or permanently inside your instrument.
The pickup's piezo elements are individually matched for capacitance, and the final product is tested by ear to ensure low noise and distortion. Pickups ship with three adhesive options: sticky putty, beeswax & rosin, and 3M VHB discs.
The pickups come in two sizes: the small size is suitable for mandolins, violins, and other treble instruments. The large size is suitable for guitars down to double basses.
A variety of tonewoods are available for the casing. Prototypes have been made using macassar ebony, figured maple, cocobolo, and others.
